Michal "Z" Zaluski

Pickleball & Tennis Instructor

Michal Zaluski aka ‘Z” has been here for his first summer on Bald Head Island and has shared his passion for tennis and pickleball in a positive way. He loves to see his students and fellow coworkers succeed in their professional or personal life journeys. He loves to work with all ages and wants to provide a fun memorable experience for you while you are around him on the courts.

Michaels’s journey to get to Bald head is a fun one, growing up in Poland than Libya where he learned how to play tennis and finally moving to USA. Michael played four years of high school tennis and then four years of college tennis at Montana State University a Division 1 school. During the summers he worked for his college coach helping in summer camps. After college he moved to Orlando area where he worked for Rick Macci Tennis Academy, during the Venus and Serena younger years, picked up great experience working with high ranked national juniors. After a couple years moved northern direction to Mt Pleasant SC where he worked at Creekside and Swim club and fell in love with the East Coast area. After two years moved on to Chapel Hill Tennis Club where he has been for the past 30 years, the past 25 years as their Director of Racquets. While there lots of his juniors have gone on to play college tennis, some being national junior champions, transformed the club from a retired group to a young family energy club with lots of leagues and high vibrant programs. While working at CHTC he bought a place at CB and loves living in this area for who would not love living at the beach and now working on a more balanced lifestyle.
